To provide WiFi and Ethernet into this area of the house, I have laid a CAT-6 cable from the Office modem to the west wall of the desk in Bedroom 3. This then plugs into an ASUS RT-N15U Gigabit Wireless-N Router. Up to four Ethernet- and numerous WiFi-connections are supported, as is a USB printer or disk. The router is set up in AP mode with the same SSID and Password as the Office modem.
The Ethernet cable is routed across the ceiling of the Office, over the Entrance void, over the ceiling of the Bedroom 3 desk and down the wall. It is about 24 m long.
