Notes: Largest honeyeater. Long pendulous yellow-orange wattles.
Bold streaked crown,
nape. Yellow belly. Long white-tipped tail. Juvenile:
vestigial wattles. Cf Little
Wattlebird.
Ssp kingi is similar to nominate paradoxa but
tail narrower, breast slightly browner, yellow
belly patch smaller & paler,
wattles finer. Forests, eucalypt and banksia woodlands, heathlands.
