Notes: Dark brown to dark grey honeyeater w. dense white streaks & spots. Blue-grey iris. Silvery
white stripe from below eye down side of neck. Ssp tasmanica like nominate chrysoptera but
significantly larger, belly always washed creamy yellow. Ssp halmaturina also much larger than
nominate, darker so almost black-and-white appearance. Blossom nomad; often found near
flowering coastal Banksia. It is usually very active & vocal w. a rough, loud, squawking call.
