White-browed Scrubwren. Male: eye red-brown in black mask; long supercilium
white in front of eye grading to yellow behind eye; prominent yellow throat; longish
pink legs. Female: duller, brown mask. Ssp cairnsi above 300m: smaller,
darker above, pale yellow belly; female more mottled on belly. Ssp intermedius
less yellow on belly. Hopping briskly on leaf mould of gloomy understorey of
coastal/mountain rainforests woodlands, gullies; often near water.
