Nominate ssp frontalis unstreaked whitish to yellow under-
parts; male
has small white spot below eye, blacker lores than female. Ssp laevigaster
darker,
bolder facial pattern; male has blacker lores & face than female.
Cf Spotted Scrubwren.
In a wide range of habitats where there is dense (moist) undergrowth.
