Notes: Smaller than Noisy Miner w. pale grey crown, yellow bill & eye patch, dark cheek patch, &
yellow on side of throat. Sub-moustachial stripe paler than throat. A pale rump. Ssp wayensis
paler, less scalloped than nominate flavigula; obscura darker w. darker rump like Black-eared
Miner, heavily scalloped on breast. Ssp lutea is more golden yellow. Sedentary. Complex social
behaviour. Prefers more open forests and adapts well to certain types of disturbed habitats.
