Notes: Now almost all hybrids w. Yellow-throated Miner. 'Pure' form has uniformly dark rump
contrasting little with lower back; darker grey upper parts, chin & throat; all-black ear coverts,
sub-moustachial stripes darker than throat, few yellow feathering on sides of neck; no or minimal
pale tail tips. Sedentary. Population centred on Gluepot Reserve, E SA in large blocks of old intact
mallee. Pics here fail one or more of the criteria for 'pure form'.
