Notes: Small rainforest kingfisher w. orange head & bright yellow bill & feet; olive upperparts.
Male: head orange-rufous except for 2 small black spots on nape; black eye-ring. Female: large
black cap in centre of crown. Juvenile: bill initially black. Call a rolling, descending trill, like call
of Fan-tailed Cuckoo. Breeds Nov–Jan.
