Notes: Large, robust. Brilliant blue bare
patch around eye in adult, yellow-green in juvenile.
Iris yellow or cream. Longer bill than similar
Blue-faced Honeyeater. Underwing-coverts & base
of
primaries white, cf cinnamon-pink for BfH. Sedentary in noisy
flocks. Inhabits rainforest
patches, pandanus, mangroves.
Forages on trunk & bark of trees, on ground, hawks flying insects.
