smaller, paler in N of range. Loral stripe does not extend beyond the eye;
blacker
lores & whiter partial eyering in male; female has pale grey partial
eyering,
browner lores. Ssp robusta large, has a rare dark morph
w. mottling on lower breast.
Inhabits eucalypt forest & other woodlands in
Australia.
