Notes: Similar to Brown Thornbill but rufous edges to primaries, more weakly scalloped forehead,
whiter ventral feathers ("white underpants"). Dark red iris. Ssp rufifrons is browner, w. lighter &
brighter rufous forehead, more diffuse breast mottling. In wet sclerophyll forest w. good shrub
layer. Arboreal; rarely near ground. Often in flocks w. Brown Thornbill.
