Females brownish above, pale below w. reddish breast patch; large white

above bill. Ssp campbelli has much more pink on breast
than nominate boodang. Ssp leggii has
longer bill
& legs, & darker tail. Cf
Flame Robin. In eucalypt forests & woodland, w. open shrubby
or grassy understorey. Mainly sedentary; dispersing in autumn-winter to more
open habitats.
