Notes: Large honeyeater w. distinctive
cylindrical casque on upper mandible. Pale grey crown.
Red-brown iris. Curved rear border to large bare facial
patch of black skin. Short gorget of
pale feathers on
upper breast. Cf similar
Helmeted Friarbird which has reduced casque.
Noisy,
conspicuous. Forages outer canopy of rainforest edges,
eucalypt forest, gardens.
