Honeyeater but is closer to
Fuscous
Honeyeater. Bill, gape & eye-ring in adult
bird black all year — they do not turn yellow (w. black
tip to bill) in non-breeding; long black border to bold yellow
plume. Voice distinctive. In mixed
eucalypt forests, conifers,
feeding on nectar, spiders and insects.
Range from Southern Tablelands to W. of Townsville.
