Notes: Stout, pointed, dark bill; flat forehead; black cap w. broad white nape band.
Pale blue eye crescent; iris deep red-brown. Narrow black chin. Pinkish brown legs.
Juvenile: bill bright orange, gradually turning brown from tip inwards; gape orange;
legs orange-pink. In dense wet eucalypt forest, woodland, coastal heath.
