Notes: Medium petrel of tropical and subtropical
waters across the Pacific;
not seen from mainland. Very variable plumage,
but always upper-wing flash
formed by white primary shafts. Square-ended
tail. Breeds Norfolk Island,
Ball's Pyramid, Lord Howe Island &
elsewhere in Pacific.
