Cairns Foreshore, FN Qld IMG_9731 20180327 - males in breeding plumage: orange-tinged breast-band even in width;
flanks clean white.

Notes: Slightly larger than similar Siberian Sand Plover, but longer more-pointed bill,
larger squarer head, larger eye, longer tibia, generally paler legs, clean white flanks.
On sandy tidal flats. August migrant from central Asia; adults return to there in Mar.
