Notes: Black cap, split by white nape-band to eyes. Narrow black chin. Blue skin over eye.
Flight feathers of wing & tail a dark grey-olive which contrast strongly w. more citrine-olive
of back & mantle. Ssp laetior Golden-backed Honeyeater upperparts largely golden
yellow-olive, with narrow bright yellow band across uppermost mantle & bright yellow rump.
In River Red Gums along watercourses, rough-barked eucalypts in dry woodland.
