Notes: Small; grey above; bright orange bill; distinctive
black & white teardrop & tail pattern. Male: large orange cheek patch;
barred greyish bib, rusty white-spotted flanks. Female: smooth grey
to buff on chest and belly. Juvenile: like female, duller, dark gray bill.
In arid & semi-arid inland grasslands, open woodlands. Need water. Often in
very large flocks.
