Notes: Nominate ssp luteus entirely yellow underneath;
conspicuous broad white eye-ring;
narrow yellow frontal band & fine black
loral stripe. Ssp balstoni greyish bloom on body, shorter
bill than
luteus, more obvious black loral stripe. High-pitched contact calls zeep
or mew.
Coastal mangrove specialist.
