Notes: Medium sized, olive-grey. Oval pale yellow ear-patch, brown eye. Face uniformly dark
olive. Bill usually shorter, straighter than in Graceful Honeyeater and in Cryptic Honeyeater.
Ssp mixta darker (olive of remiges contrasts less with upperparts). Voice: Loud repeated whistle
compared to rapid staccato machine-gun call of Lewin’s & the simpler, single note call of Graceful.
Aggressive. Common in wetter tropical habitats below 400m elevation. Resident.
