Notes: Small. Cf Varied Triller. Breeding males have black crown & back, white underparts, black
wings w. a bold white wing panel, & black tail w. white tip. Nonbreeding plumage crown & back
brown, w. pale-edged feathers in dark upperwing. Female similar to nonbreeding male but upper-
wing browner. Resident or nomadic in north; a summer breeding migrant to the cooler southern
parts of Australia. Fairly common in eucalypt woodland, & open scrub.
