Notes: Large pigeon. Male has a white head & breast w. glossy black black, as are wings & tail.
The bill is red w. a yellowish tip. Eye ring & legs are red; iris pale orange or yellow. Female has
white areas suffused w. grey. Juveniles: grey crown & breast; eye-ring grey, iris & bill dark brown.
Along edges of rainforest, lush parks, etc. Feeds on fruit in canopy but can also feed on the
ground in the open.
