Notes: Reptilian appearance. Flight feathers edged yellow. Throat & breast black. White fore-
head & malar-stripe. Iris reddish-brown, small area of bare pink-red skin behind eye; bill & gape
black; legs grey-black. Juvenile paler brownish tones; gape cream or yellow & swollen.
Nomadic; in search of flowers for nectar & insects. Semi-arid woodlands & scrub.
