Notes: Tiny w. very short stubby pale bill. Pale supercilium, pale iris & rusty tinge to ear-coverts.
Ssp occidentalis very like nominate brevirostris w. brown streaking in throat, but greyer tinged.
Ssp flavescens is much paler, unstreaked & yellower than others, ear-coverts only faintly washed
brown. ochrogaster is smaller & paler than others. In eucalypt woodland & acacia shrubland,
foraging in outer foliage of upper- & middle storey.
