Notes: Very large, dark, w. massive bill, fully feathered legs & massive talons. Male smaller than
female. In flight, prominent fingers, very long diamond-shaped tail. Young birds are more golden
& get progressively darker w. age. Juvenile is faintly barred underwing. Ssp fleayi has heavier feet
& claws; juvenile paler than nominate audax. Huge stick nest. Soars high, occasionally in groups,
on upswept wings. Road-kill opportunist.
