Notes: Larger, more robust bill, than
Little Crow. Throat hackles form a short spiky
beard confined to chin &
throat. White iris, spindly legs. Shuffles wings upon alighting.
Calls include
fairly short, repeated “ah-ah-ah” and a unique rattling croaking. Often
flicks
tail when calling. The only corvid of Darwin, Cairns, Brisbane.
