Notes: Slim, long-legged w. long narrow wings. Adult has varied plumage, prominent white
upper-tail coverts. Female: broader wings. Juvenile is darker below, tawny rump. Cf Spotted
Harrier. Flies slowly and low over open swamps & wetlands w. wings held in shallow V shape.
