Kuranda Train Tracks, Cairns, FN Qld IMG_0339 20200522 - female in breeding plumage: complete black breast-band.

Notes: Blackish w. white neck & underparts, iridescent plumage & straw-like neck plumes - which
are absent in juveniles. Adult head & chin naked slate-grey. Black breast band complete only in
breeding female. Legs are usually red near the top , dark grey toward the feet; entirely grey in
juvenile. Nomadic. Typically feeds in grassland habitats, farm paddocks & sporting fields.
