Notes: Small bird w. stubby bill, prominent whitish face pattern. Nominate leucopsis has upper-
parts greyish brown, underparts whitish, w. brownish-grey mottling on flanks. Ssp castaneiventris
has rufous mottling on flanks, also whiter face & paler plumage. Both ssp paler in central Aust.
Inhabits drier open woodlands & shrublands, where often forages on the ground in small flocks.
