Notes: Very large. Huge pink-horn bill w. dark cutting edge. All-white back, tail & body. Black
inner upperwing progressively whitens from the leading edge with age — only juvenile also has
some dark tail-tips. Underwing same as for similar smaller Northern Royal Albatross. Breeds S NZ
Isls. Agressive feeder. Uncommon; off E Tas peak Jul–Oct. Circumpolar in sub-Antarctic.
