Notes: Most like Black-backed Butcherbird but no white lores. Black head & chin, front lower
edges of hood extending as black “necklace” onto breast, pale silvery-grey back, scapulars &
rump w. dark shaft streaks, broad white tail tip, extensive white patch in wing. Ssp colletti smaller
than nominate argenteus, w. chin & side of breast white, no “necklace”, shorter white tail tip.
Eucalypt and riparian forests; edges of rainforest patches.
