Notes: Extensive rufous face and underparts. Male: patch of coarse black & white streaking on
upper breast. Female: rufous & white streaking on upper breast. In flight, rufous wing band.
In eucalypt forests, woodlands w. fallen & standing dead trees. Forages mainly on tree trunks,
lower branches; often on ground.
