Notes: Rufous extends from rump to midway down tail (cf Arafura Fantail); tail tipped in white.
Forehead, eyebrow rufous; white throat. Black spotted breast. Strongly migratory, wintering
on Cape York & further N. Nominate ssp rufifrons breeds NSW, Vic; intermedia longer tailed,
whiter tail-tips, breeds N from NSW–Qld border. Continually in motion, in low- & mid-levels of
wetter forests.
