Notes: Large grey-brown honeyeater. Pink-red flap of skin (the wattle)
below & behind the eye. Patch of pale yellow on belly. White facial triangle
bordered by blackish bands. Crown blackish, iris red-brown, legs pink-brown. Ssp
woodwardi slightly smaller than nominate carunculata, richer yellow on
belly, shorter tail. Ssp clelandi darker, male bill significantly longer &
tarsus shorter. Loud, harsh vocalizations. A wide variety of habitats but mostly in
canopy of eucalypt woodlands.
