 Notes: Chunky whistler w. heavy black bill, red eye. Orange-rufous face & throat, grey breast-
band, rufous underparts. Flight feathers edged buff. Female: paler, paler greys. Immature like
female but brown eye, rufous tinge only undertail. Compare Gilbert's Whistler which is darker
in front of the eye, & orange of chin does not extend above the bill. Many loud calls, such as
"ee-chong", "chew-chew-chew-chew". In mallee, banksia heaths w. low shrubs & spinifex.
