Notes: Bright orange-red breast; blue/black belly & streaked head; yellow-green hindcollar
(cf Red-collared Lorikeet & no overlap of range) & red-orange bill. Much longer tail than Scaly-
breasted Lorikeet as well as the bright yellow band on underwing flight feathers. Much more
variation between individuals than between ssps!. Very conspicuous, often observed calling loudly
while flying overhead or feeding. In a wide range of (non-arid) habitats, including urban areas.
