Notes: Pale pink & white cockatoo, pink underparts, white upperparts. Band of scarlet at base of
long white crest. Iris dark brown in male, juvenile & immature; female develops red eye when
two years old. Nominate ssp leadbeateri has yellow band dividing the red in crest, reduced in
male. Ssp mollis has much reduced yellow in crest, typically absent in male. Slow, laboured flight.
Feeds on many types of seeds.
