broad yellow edges. Nominate:
breast pale yellow shading to pale blue on belly; mostly blue
cheeks; rump
yellow. Ssp palliceps: all-white cheeks; blue of underparts extends to
throat;
rump, undertail coverts green-blue. Mostly in lowlands, open country,
woodland, parks, gardens.
Range from Morcombe & Stewart©. The 2 subspecies intergrade in a broad band across base of CYP
