Notes: Smaller, slimmer than large
Grey Plover; more upright stance; smaller head;
shorter, slimmer bill. Golden spangling on upperparts. No rear toe. Dusky underwing.
Adult breeding: black face, underparts extending variable to undertail.
Non-breeding w. buff face. Juvenile more streaked mottling on breast, neck.
Migrant from N Siberia. Mainly coastal but also sparse inland grasslands.
