Notes: Black cap, white & blue cheeks, pale yellow underparts.
Female: black of head duller,
more grey, can be flecked w. red, as can the abdomens.
Ssp hilli more blue on the lower border
of white cheek patch, scalloping on
underparts is fine & less obvious than for nominate venustus.
Sedentary, uncommon. In grassy open eucalypt or melaleuca forest & woodland.
