Notes: Very large white bird w. variable
amounts of black on enormous (1.5 m) wings;
pinkish-salmon bill. Eye larger, crown not so flat, bill not
huge as Wandering
Albatross. Even the whitest birds usually have fine
dark vermiculations on their body feathers. Ssp gibsoni
not as dark as antipodensis on head, body, wings. Breeds when
typically 10–12 years or older, and only raise one
chick every 2 years.
