Notes: Tail blue w. large white, round, tips & outer edge; tail much shorter than of Variegated
Fairywren (out of range). Black bill & lores, brown eyes, flesh-grey feet. Male breeding: blue
crown & large blue ear patch. Male non-breeding: like female, broader deeper rufous fringes to
tertials. Female: dusky blue upperparts & crown; white lores & eye-ring. Juvenile like female,
brown bill. Small groups in shrubby margins of rainforest, mangroves.
