Plumed Egret by being larger, & when breeding: black or black-tipped vs
yellow/pink bill, black vs reddish tops of legs, much yellower lores
and facial area.
Breeds S & E Asia; winters S to SE Asia; vagrant to Cocos
(Keeling) Isls. & mainland Australia.
