Notes: Plain w. yellow neck-plume bordered above for most of length by black. "Grey-fronted"
lower forehead. Breeding: bill, gape black. Non-breeding: base of lower mandible, gape yellowish.
Nominate (plumulus) has olive-yellow top & side of head. Ssp planasi similar but longer bill, paler,
black border broader. Ssp graingeri larger, darker, bolder streaking. Sedentary. Semi-arid shrub-
land inland; riparian vegetation in tropical north.
