Notes: Large rosella, mainly yellow & green w. broad blue
cheek patches, red frontal band & blackish-blue flight feathers. Female
has pale orange-red wash to foreneck & slimmer, shorter bill. Juvenile
darker, more green. Ssp brownii on King Island looks like nominate caledonicus ;
vulnerable. In most woodland habitats at all altitudes. Sedentary; perhaps to lower levels
in winter.
