 Notes: Brilliantly coloured grass-finch. Most black head, about 25% red head, a few golden
head. Green back, breast purple, under yellow/white. Blue rump, black tail. Female duller,
more dilute version. Juvenile dull olive above, pale below. In tropical savanna woodland
amongst grassy understorey that contains their preferred annual & perennial grass species.
