Notes: Male: black crown, yellow frontal band, golden-yellow shoulder patch
contrasts w. blackish
flight feathers. Female: greener, cap & face pale olive-brown,
blueish frontal band & patch under
eye. Feeds chiefly on the ground on grass seeds.
Rests in foliage during midday heat. Very
restricted range. Breeds in short tunnel dug into
a tall termite mound.
