Notes: Small and compact cockatoo. Primarily scaly gray-green. Male has
bright red ‘helmet’ and fluffy crest. Gives a loud 'creaking door-hinge' call.
Typically moves to higher altitudes in summer, returns to lower ranges in winter.
Gregarious. Eats seeds from eucalypts & Acacia, insect lavae, some fruits.
