white
loral spot, large white wing panels. Male: complete
white collar. Female incomplete white collar.
Ssp
incinctus has a greener tinge to its back & is slightly
larger than nominate macleayii. Nests in
arboreal termitaria in summer. Mostly
resident all year round in N, birds in S may migrate
to New
Guinea, Indonesia.
